Q. What type of debt can be handled by the Debt Mediator Program?

A. The program handles "unsecured debt, meaning debt that has no collateral securing it. (credit cards, judgments, medical bills, unsecured installment loans, loans from finance companies, auto repossessions, old legal bills, and personal loans.

Q. What bank will hold my money while in the Debt Mediator Program? 

A. Your money will be held in a money market account at the Inland Community Bank, of Rialto, California. Account funds are FDIC insured and carries an interest rate of 2%. The account requires Your signature to be released.

Q. How does the program compare to Consumer Credit Counseling?  

A. The typical client with Consumer Credit Counseling:

ends up paying $1.10 to $1.30 for every dollar owed,

takes an average of four to five years to complete the program, and

ends up with a Consumer Credit Counseling mark on their credit report that most lenders view as a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.

   The typical client with Debt Alternative in the Debt Mediator Program:

on average ends up paying only 60 cents for every dollar owed,

on average completes the program in less than 30 months, and 

is on their way toward credit recovery within 12 months of completion.

Consumer Credit Counseling has some dark secrets they don't like to discuss.

Q. How will I know what the Debt Mediator Program is doing for me? 

A.  While in the program, you will receive a monthly status report detailing the financial activity on you account, as well as an update on the mediation process with each of your creditors.

Q. Can I place only the bills causing me problems in the program?     

A. While we recommend placing all your unsecured debts into the Debt Mediator program, we do suggest retaining one credit card outside the program for making hotel and car rental reservations if you travel.
